I’d been thinking about this one for months.
I knew I’d be in Florida for spring break with my family, so I figured—why not line up a session while I was there?
First person I hit up was Isaiah Rivera. He’s easily one of the best dunkers in the world, so getting a session with him was a no-brainer. He was in.
Then I messaged Hunter Castona and Dom Gonzales, who had trained and dunked in Florida last year. I told them, “If you’re thinking about going back, let’s line it up the same week I’m there.” They were down.
Josh Ruble joined soon after.
What started as a small group turned into something way bigger. Word spread fast, and by the time the day came, 17 dunkers showed up.
Who Pulled Up
This was a stacked lineup:
- Isaiah Rivera, Austin Bourque, Hunter Castona, Dom Gonzales, and Josh Ruble—guys I’ve known for years.
- Isaiah Espinoza, who recently hit a verified 50” vertical at The Dunk Camp’s Max Vertical Contest in Utah and walked away with $1,000. Watching him jump in person was insane.
- Artem Vyshinskiy and Davis Qin—fellow JumpMaster X athletes.
- Cam Kiser-Gilmore and RJ Johnson—first time meeting them, and they definitely showed out.
- Also there: Victor Morris, Hunter Nenadic, Jailen Brown, Nate Ruble, Dylan Stone, and Joshua Bell.

Location: One of the Best Rims I’ve Ever Dunked On… Kind Of
We held the session at Dr. James R. Smith Neighborhood Center. The court was clean, the lighting was great, and the rim had the perfect amount of give.
The only problem? We didn’t measure the rim at the start.
By the end, it had dropped to 9’9”. Based on photos and comparisons to the wall and backboard, it likely started around 9’10.5” to 9’11” and slowly lowered during the session.
It was frustrating at first, but in the end, no one hit any world-first dunks, and I didn’t land anything brand new either. So while it wasn’t ideal, it didn’t necessarily take away from the session.
How I Performed
This was definitely one of my best personal sessions—even if I’m not counting anything as 100% legit because of the rim height.
Here’s what I hit:
- Underboth – more of a rim-grazer, so not really counting it
- Hide and Seek — a very rare dunk
- I also landed a Honeydip, an Eastbay, a 360 Windmill, and many others

5v5 After the Dunks
After the dunk session wrapped, we played full-court 5v5 with only dunkers. Everyone was gassed, but we still got a few highlights in.
I hit a windmill during the game—kind of on someone—which felt great. I rarely play full basketball games anymore, so it was fun to see how my training has impacted the way I move and play.
Why This One Mattered
It’s rare to have this many dunkers in one place at the same time.
A lot of us had only connected through Instagram or YouTube, so seeing everyone in person made this session even better. These kinds of meetups just hit different—there’s no substitute for in-person sessions when everyone has this level of adrenaline.
Everyone there brought something different—whether it was crazy bounce, creative dunks, or just good vibes. Appreciate everyone who came out. Let’s keep doing more of this.
